Interaction is designed to be intuitive and fluid. You can activate the Dynamic Island by hovering your cursor over the notch area or clicking it. Once expanded, you can switch between modules like the Inspiration Capsule, Transfer Station, or Music Controller. For capturing inspirations, simply type and hit enter. For the Transfer Station, you can drag and drop files or text directly into the island to store them, or drag them out to use in other apps. It supports fluid animations and gestures that feel native to the macOS environment.

At InspireDrop, privacy is not just a feature; it's a core principle. We operate on a 'Local-First' basis. All your captured inspirations, notes, and clipboard history are stored exclusively on your Mac's local storage. We do not have any external servers to collect your personal data, and we do not track your usage behavior. Your data remains yours alone. This approach ensures maximum security and allows the app to work perfectly even without an internet connection.

InspireDrop is optimized for the modern macOS experience. It requires macOS 12.0 (Monterey) or later. While it's designed to elegantly wrap around the hardware notch found on the latest MacBook Pro (14-inch and 16-inch) and MacBook Air (M2/M3) models, it also works beautifully on Mac models without a notch. For non-notch Macs, the island can be positioned at the top of the screen as a floating interactive bar, providing the same level of functionality and aesthetic appeal across all Mac desktops and laptops.

InspireDrop offers a deep, one-click integration with the native Apple Notes app. When you capture a fleeting thought in the Inspiration Capsule, you can choose to 'Push to Notes.' This creates a new note or appends to an existing one in your preferred folder. Because it uses the system's native API, your inspirations are automatically synced across all your Apple devices via iCloud. This makes it the perfect bridge between quick, messy brainstorming and structured, long-term organization.

To provide a seamless 'native' feel, InspireDrop requires a few specific macOS permissions. **Accessibility** is needed so the app can detect the notch area and interact with other windows for the Transfer Station. **Clipboard access** is necessary for the Transfer Station to store and retrieve your text or images. We may also request **Automation** permissions to sync with Apple Notes.
